Appledore Evening's Block
Most of my hand-pulled prints start as plein air paintings. The oil study on the top right is After a Delicious Dinner on Appledore Island.
I liked the composition and energy, so I did the pencil drawing shown on the bottom left. Then, I traced that drawing, seen lower right, and used the tracing to transfer the image to the block, which is on the upper left.
This is the block cut into three pieces, inked up and reassembled. Below is layer one printed on paper.
