This print was created during the Center for Contemporary Printmaking's MONOTHON event in 2026. Monotypes are editions of one, so this print is signed but not numbered because it is unique.
After a monotype plate has been printed, there is still some ink left on it. If that plate is printed a second time, that new lighter print is called a "ghost". Ghosts can be the foundation of new, unique prints. This print and Rose Bush were printed from the same plates going back and forth being the ghost and the original.
