Leaves in Winter's Block

Leaves in Winter is a white-line woodcut. Before the block could be printed, it needed to be carved. This photo shows the image drawn with pen on the block as carving had just begun.

The above photo shows the very first shapes being printed. I started with the orange leaves.

I printed the trunks next. Next to the block and print are pallets of the watercolor I use to ink the blocks.
